Chapman's Landing Cooking Studio - Class Outline

Fall Harvest - 100 Mile Diet of SLOW Foods (Gluten Free)
Description:
For Canada this is the 160 km. diet but it is hard to avoid using the catchy slogan! This popular class is in its third year now and a great opportunity to review and share ideas to build a healthy diet around SLOW foods - seasonal, local, organic and wild! We walk around our fields and see some of the 100 edible wild plants I have identified on my farm. Learn local history and safe foraging for wild edibles. Jamie Board of the Board's Honey Farm (Restoule) will be attending and able to give us tips on incorporating honey and some of their amazing products into your 100 mile diet! The ingredients are homegrown, organic and wild things. Like all classes, please arrive hungry as there will be lots of sampling and class ends with a sit down meal. If you don't see the menu for the event click on the course title.
