Health Network
Health promotion helps us to understand the many influences
on our health from social and environmental factors such as
housing, income, education, clean air and a sense of belonging,
to our everyday choices about diet and exercise. Understanding
what affects our health can help us take action to make it
better. So can the Canadian Health Network. It is a
wealth of information to help you prevent disease and make
healthy choices for yourself and your community.
Chicken
Farmers of Canada
One of the ways chicken farmers can help you is by providing
you with some of the great chicken recipes that we’ve
gathered over the years. You will find all sorts of delicious
choices in this section – one for every cooking occasion.
Our registered dietitian and chef instructor Nancy Guppy has
a chicken recipe of her very own posted on this website each
week.
Dietitians
of Canada
Dietitians of Canada (DC) is the nation-wide voice of dietitians
and the most trusted source of information on food and nutrition
for Canadians. It brings the knowledge and skills of its members
together to inform decisions that affect food, nutrition and
health, with impact at the local, regional/provincial, national
and international levels. The DC is the national accrediting
body for all baccalaureate and practicum training programs
that credential dietitians to practice in Canada. With over
5000 members coast to coast, DC is the only national organization
of dietitians in Canada and is one of the largest organizations
of dietetics professionals worldwide.
Health Canada
Health Canada is the Federal department responsible for helping
Canadians maintain and improve their health, while respecting
individual choices and circumstances. Health Canada's goal
is for Canada to be among the countries with the healthiest
people in the world.
